Expanding Media Literacy Education to Students Across Asia
On December 13th, 2024, we conducted a special session featuring "Ray's Blog" at the "ANNIE SCHOOL NET CONFERENCE 2024," held at Van Lang University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
This conference, hosted by Professor Masato Kajimoto of the University of Hong Kong (Director of Annie Lab), brought together media literacy educators and practitioners from across Asia for a significant knowledge-sharing event.
Diverse Participation from Asian Countries
The event attracted approximately 300 students from various Asian countries, including Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Through "Ray's Blog," Classroom Adventure provided practical demonstrations on how to acquire fact-checking skills in multilingual and multicultural environments.
Strengthening Media Literacy Education Networks in Asia
Through workshops with participants from different countries, we exchanged valuable insights on localizing our program to address region-specific misinformation challenges and cultural contexts. This event significantly contributed to building a media literacy education network throughout Asia and strengthened the foundation for future international collaborations.
